No matter where appointments take you, there’s no doubt that templates help you do your job better and faster. That brings us to the topic of today’s blog post – did you know that, as a Palmtech user, you have access to two templates critical to Florida-based inspectors?
That’s right, we’re talking about the Florida Wind Mitigation and the Citizens 4-Point Inspection templates!
Florida Wind Mitigation Template
The Florida Wind Mitigation template is complete with everything Florida inspectors need — building code, roof covering, roof deck attachment, roof-to-wall attachment, roof geometry, secondary water resistance (SWR), and opening protection:

Citizens 4-Point Inspection Template
When it’s time to inspect an older home, say 20 years and older, then you’ll need the Citizens 4-Point Inspection template as part of your findings. Citizens Property Insurance Corporation of Florida requires a four-point inspection for the following key areas:
- Roof Condition and Age: Inspectors evaluate and look for signs of leaks, damage, and general wear and tear.
- Electrical System: Here, the electrical panel, wiring, and safety features are all inspected to ensure they meet current standards and don’t pose a fire risk.
- Plumbing System: Pipes and fixtures are checked for leaks, material type, and any potential issues that could lead to water damage.
- HVAC System: The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system is evaluated for its condition, age, and functionality to ensure it operates safely and efficiently.
Not only are these critical points of interest to the client, but this template is also a good ‘scorecard’ for them when they seek out insurance coverage and premiums. Having this template at your fingertips only makes your job easier and more efficient!
How to Access the Templates
Access to both templates is easy and can be found in your Palmtech portal.
- Log into the Palmtech portal
- Enter the Templates section of the Portal
- Click/tap the Add from library button:
- Click the Download button for either the Florida Wind Mitigation Form or the Citizens 4-Point Inspection template:
- Set the new template as Active to use it in inspections:
